The EuroMillions draw of December 11th marked another record for the EuroMillions lottery: the biggest jackpot ever worth €200 million was won by a French ticket-holder who matched the winning numbers 6, 9, 13, 24 and 41 & Lucky Stars 3 and 12.
How did the jackpot reach this record amount?
At the beginning of 2020, the EuroMillions lottery was changing the rules so as to deliver more and bigger jackpots. The European lottery officials were promising at that time that Europe’s top lotto game will offer more SuperDraw events and a boosted jackpot cap. The promise was kept! In 2020, we had a number of 4 EuroMillions SuperDraws and the jackpot cap was boosted from €190 million to €200 million.

It remained at €200 million until December 11th, when it was finally won by a player from France.
